Dr. Ella Rokosh emigrated to Canada from Poland at age 14. She completed her medical training in Internal Medicine and Critical Care at the University of Ottawa. She is the Site Chief for Intensive Care and a staff intensivist at the Misericordia Community Hospital.

 She has an interest in chronic ventilation and weaning from mechanical ventilation. She works in the Misericordia ALS clinic, facilitating ventilatory and nutritional support. She is co-chair of Neuromuscular Chronic Ventilation Committee, working to improve transitions of care for these patients.  She is also the Medical Informatics Lead for Critical Care in the Edmonton zone and Provincial Physician Trainer for Critical Care.
