Candace finished her residency and moved to Villa Caritas when it was opened in January 2011. Working in geriatric mental health is a calling for Candace; she can’t imagine working anywhere else. She appreciates the resiliency of seniors and enjoys the challenges that they present. The team environment at Villa Caritas is particularly important to her, as this enables them to see the whole person and engage with both the patient and their family. Candace finds that the simplest things can often be so complicated. Treating one issue may cause another, so being creative and prioritizing to strike a balance is of utmost importance. Her goal is to provide the best quality of life for her patients and their families.
