Inspired by her relationship with her own grandparents, Kristi graduated with a BA in recreation and leisure studies and worked with older adults in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatry, supportive living and long-term care. She is grateful to have benefited from the collective wisdom of her colleagues and clients over the years. As the recreation therapist at the Hys Centre Community Geriatric Psychiatry Day Program since 2008, Kristi has strived to enhance clients' overall wellness and promote healthier leisure lifestyles through collaboration with other healthcare professionals, interdisciplinary teams, family members and community agencies.
